Wildfire Recovery Training Grant

Earn Up to $450/Week in Career Training

Special Grant for LA County Workers Impacted by Windstorms & Wildfires

If you live in Los Angeles County and lost income because of the recent windstorm and wildfire emergencies, you may qualify for a special grant that pays up to $450 per week while you’re in training* at NIU College.

 

✔️ Up to $450/week while you train*
✔️ Must be a Los Angeles County resident, 18+
✔️ Must have been employed or self-employed in LA County at the time of the windstorm/wildfire emergency
✔️ Must have experienced income loss because your workplace or home was in an evacuation, warning, or fire zone, or due to loss of your home
✔️ Train for in-demand careers in Clinical Medical Assisting, HVAC, and other programs with flexible class schedules, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends
✔️ Hands-on training at an accredited career school in Woodland Hills, CA
